Use the province, board and school calendar
Canada has no single school calendar. Check the province or territory, school board and particular school’s terms, examinations and absence approval. Do not assume a January camp falls in a break or that a calendar in another province applies. Include both travel and recovery days in any request to miss classes.
Plan routes from your actual Canadian airport
The practical journey differs for a family departing from western Canada and one connecting from an eastern or smaller airport. Record local arrival dates in Korea, layovers and return dates before selecting a camp. Leave room for travel fatigue and time-zone adaptation; ask about arrival instructions and transfers instead of assuming them included.
Coordinate consent across the travelling adults
For minors, check current Canadian outbound guidance, the airline and any relevant custody or consent requirements for your situation. This is not advice about entering Canada. Decide which parent, guardian or school adult travels, who is the emergency contact, and what languages the program can use. French-language reading support in this guide does not establish French-speaking supervision in Korea.
Budget for the whole journey
Use only the chosen program’s current published price or a written quote. Check currency, deposit, refund rules and inclusions before paying. Flights, accommodation, transfers, insurance, entry-document costs and spending money need separate budget lines unless expressly included. A deposit or group-size condition in one listing does not apply to other camps.
Check entry rules for each passport
Verify Korean visa and entry requirements with the official Korea Visa Portal and the embassy responsible for your passport and circumstances. Check transit-country requirements too. Residence, nationality and departure country are not interchangeable. A camp inquiry does not grant a visa, establish an exemption or guarantee entry.

Ask who supervises minors, how parents give consent, how medical needs and emergencies are handled, and what languages the team can actually use. Confirm curriculum, venue, accommodation, payment and cancellation conditions before committing. Neither this guide nor an application promises a place, school admission, a partnership status, audition success or debut.
